This past Sunday, MTV hosted the MTV Video Music Awards, an annual ceremony celebrating the previous year in music video achievement. This year,Kanye West debuted his latest music video for his song “Fade” off of his acclaimed album “The Life of Pablo.” The video features artist Teyana Taylor aggressively dancing all around a gym before eventually turns into a cat surrounded by sheep and Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert, who is Taylor’s fiancé.
The video has garnered much attention on the Internet as well as the world of late night television. Last night on CBS’ ‘The Late Late Show,’ host James Corden spoofed the video by editing himself into it and snarkily commenting on Taylor’s dancing (“It’s sort of a public gym…”), the amount of oil in the gym (“No one needs that much oil!”), as well as Kanye’s song itself (“Is it even a song? Can you call it a song?”). When he finally sees her and Shumpert amidst a group of sheep, he points to the gym’s “No Sheep In Gym” sign and says, “A lot of us joined this gym because of its zero sheep policy.” Watch the video below.
