The Good Terrorist

This intriguing documentary follows the story of family man and anti-apartheid activist John Harris. Harris became infamous for placing a bomb in Johannesburg train station in 1964. Its detonation had devastating consequences including killing a 77 year old woman and severely burning her young granddaughter. As a result, Harris was hanged, becoming the only white prison executed during Apartheid. The story of the tragedy is here told through those closest to the man as well as through home movies of the station bomber which recently surfaced. We also see Harris’s son meet the girl maimed by the bomb in what is a very emotional meeting.
