The Road

The Road UTV Ireland: 10.30pm

This stirring adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel sees Viggo Mortensen and his young son, Kodi Smith-McPhee, traverse a post-apocalyptic America. Along the way, they encounter what remains of society including, but not limited to, redneck cannibals and Robert Duvall. Directed by John Hillcoat, it's often a hard watch, but honestly rewarding.
